Savo Citoyen Park
Tsavo was divided into Tsavo East and Tsavo West in 1948 due to its size. Tsavo West is more widely used for safaris due to its advanced fondation.
The park is covered in volcanic cones, rocky outcrops and lava flows. The northern tronçon of Tsavo West has spectacular scenery with a rolling volcanic landscape carpeted with svelte grass and visqueux bush. The park is an environment of extreme bio-diversity, with rivers, forests, lakes, wooded grasslands and mountains, each harboring a autre set of fauna. Savo West Citoyen Park’s landscape is dominated, especially by the giant baobab, a tree famous for vivoir for thousands of years. Chief among Tsavo West Citoyen Park is of circuit Mzima Springs, a wonderful haven for wildlife. There is a consortium of natural spring water with hippos lurking underwater to watch. Savo is a Big Five area famous for its volumineux elephant nation (embout 6000) with many lions – some doubtless descended from Tasavo’s famous manatees. .
East of Tsavo there is more open savanna, and scrub-covered hills give the park a very remote feel. Despite its great game, however, Tsavo East does not attract volumineux numbers of tourists. The best game viewing is along streams and in Kanderi swamps. In Savo East you will also find ‘red’ elephants, named after the color of the region’s rich soil that they dump on themselves.
The Maasai Mara is located in the Great Rift Valley, a fault line embout 5000 km svelte, from the Red Sea in Ethiopia through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi to Mozambique. The Maasai Mara is a tronçon of the Serengeti ecosystem and is Kenya’s largest game reserve. The reserve is perhaps most famous for its lions, but other members of the “Big Five” are also found here. Additionally, more than 450 species of birds have been identified in the park, making it very popular with bird watchers as well. A huge wildebeest peuplement also takes emploi through the park between July and October, and at its peak more than 1.4 million wildebeest can be seen roaming the plains. This is obviously peak travel season for the area, so factor in tourists in equal measure!
Amboseli Citoyen Park
Amboseli is the third most visited park in Kenya. on a Amboseli Safari, you have a great view of the snowy peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, which makes a great backdrop for photos. The park has five different habitats for wildlife: open plains, cachou woodlands, rocky thorn folk, swamps and marshes. Sweetwaters Game Reserve
Sweetwaters Game Reserve is a small park, but also a Big Five area. Jane Goodall set up her chimpanzee sanctuary in this park, which brought many visitors to the area.
Lake Nakuru Citoyen Park
Lake Nakuru is a small, shallow, alkaline lake, most famous for the number of flamingos that can be seen, estimated at over one million. The park is also very popular with bird watchers as pelicans and many other birds frequent the area. Although not a Big Five reserve, you can éblouissement one of the more than 25 rhinos that en direct here and have the supériorité to see the baroque Rothschild’s giraffe, waterbuck, carnassier and leopard.
Samburu Citoyen Park
This park is not very well known and hence less crowded than other parks. It is located on the banks of a fixer and it attracts wildlife.
