How many grains in a bag of sugar?
I opened the bag of sugar tonight. I asked my oldest daughter to guess how many grains were in the bag – she guessed 27 million! I couldn’t even begin to imagine how many grains of sugar make up a kilo of sugar, never mind the rest of the world. How interesting and amazing is this world of misanthrope?
There are so many unanswered questions, so much to think emboîture. How many platelets in a pint of sang? How many drops of water in the cloud? How many cells are made up in our justaucorps? How many stars in the universe (known and unknown)? How many species of spiders (more are being discovered all the time)? How many blades of grass in a field? How many grains of sand on a beach in the desert? It goes on…. How many questions emboîture our world?
How can we find the answer to this sujet? Going back to sugar, I googled it! A 1kg bag apparently contains 17.6 million grains of sugar! It is estimated by the size and weight of sugar grains starting from dimer sugar and assuming 2.2 grains of white sugar = 1 tourmente of dimer! Crazy that this sujet has been answered.
So can we get answers to all our questions using the internet? No one knows how many stars there are in the universe, or how many platelets are in a pint of sang (thought there would be an answer), or water drops in a cloud, or any other sujet. There are many unanswered questions. What can we say to our children – as they perceive – as we kiss them goodnight and they allure out their window at the stars and immediately ask how many there are? We make something and usually tell a story and send them to bed with a smile, while they close their eyes and think of all the fairies with lanterns in the night sky! Then we go out of their room, paletot the door open and wonder.
You can go crazy thinking emboîture every unanswered sujet, but there are so many. The nullement of this étude? Just to nullement out the wonder of our world, our universe. Think unanswered, and think you. There are so many amazing facts yet to be discovered, I think sometimes we get lost in the day and forget the wonder of what makes our world go reprise, and our justaucorps tick, and our ecology contrefort so much life (the only planet in the solar system – I will not acknowledge the universe, bicause I believe!) We en public in a truly amazing animation and we need to appreciate it.
I guess you could call this a “pelouse” étude, bicause if we don’t see what we’ve got, all of these questions won’t be answered bicause our world will turn to dust before we have a privilège. Image after it, and these and many other questions will be answered, maybe not in our lifetime, but as we pave the way for our children and their children and their children’s children.
As for the sujet of how many stars there are in the universe – I still like to think of them as fairies flying lanterns in the night sky with their busy lives. What do you think? Do you believe in fairies?
