How to travel to Siem Reap from Laos or Thailand
Chong Sa Ngam is embout 40 minutes from Sisaket, Thailand and the road is fully sealed on both the Thai and Cambodian sides. Chong Sa Ngam is a town on the Thai side of the Cambodian entourer and the entourer is known as Along Veng. It only takes 1 and 1/2 hours to reach Siem Reap or 120 km grain you complete the permis formalities!!
All of this of révolution means that if you are traveling from Isaan cities such as Ubon, Surin or Sisaket you will be looking at only a 3 hour drive to Siem Reap which is not great!! If you’re coming from Pakse, you’re looking at a travel time of around 6 hours. Well for those interested in traveling overland, this is the remblai from Pakse.
Leaving Pakse at 8am, it takes only 40 minutes to drive 44km to the Thai entourer at Chong Mek but probably 1 hour to complete the permis formalities (Thai visas are free and issued on arrival). On the next trip to Chong Sa Ngam via Det Udon there is no need to actually go to Ubon there is a sealed road that goes straight to the entourer and it is only 200km and takes just under 3 hours with a toilet auto-stop or two.
Now you have to cross-country the entourer into Cambodia again Reçu is issued on arrival but there is a fee of embout $25 US. Panthère across the entourer you can go down a bermuda path and auto-stop to see Pol Pot’s crematorium just a few meters away. Thus his last rayon during the Cambodgien Afrique regime. You are now in Along Veng and from here it takes another 1 and 1/2 hours to drive to Siem Reap or embout 120 km to Banteay Sree Sanctuaire. This is a great dilemme to the remblai trip through Kampong Cham which would take over 15 hours!

Isan Northeast Thailand is stunning and the people are extremely friendly and hospitable, eco-resorts such as Kong Giam are a perfect hideaway, and there are also some great temples to see that represent the Cambodgien Autorité.
On another commentaire the Cambodgien Autorité traveled from Wat Phu Champasak in Laos to Siem Reap in Cambodia the actual remblai is actually only 240 km and échelons are underway to complete this road so in a few years the remblai from Pakse to Siem Reap could only take 3 hours.
