Joe Poole Lake is a US Corp of Engineers lake located just south of the Dallas/Raide Worth metroplex. Since it first opened in 1989, the lake has been a popular orientation for anyone interested in boating, fishing, hiking, camping or wildlife viewing. Here are some highlights available for you to enjoy this great lake.

camping There are two découvert parks that offer overnight facilities. Cedar Hill State Park (Cedar Hill, Texas) has a béant campground that is usually full during the busy summer season. hiking Most of the hiking trails are found in Cedar Hill State Park. The largest, the Dorba Trail, covers more than 10 miles and is a shared biking/hiking path. You can find several trails in Lloyd Park. The trails offer great opportunities to bird and see some of the fantastic wildflowers that grow in the natural areas around the lake. Bluebonnets are usually spectacular in early spring, creating a wonderful carpet of blue.

swimming The parks (Cedar Hill, Lloyd and Lynn Creek) have numerous beaches that offer a nice ardeur to take your little ones. Each has a real sandy beach, bathrooms within easy reach and an prochain playground.
