Physically challenged in the Nigerian entertainment industry
The late Ray Charles lost his sight at the age of seven and his younger brother two years ago. The world that he jaguar saw and was enthralled by its beauty and serenity has become dark and foggy. In the devant of hardships and seemingly insurmountable mountains while tirelessly traveling life’s path, he found solace in music which became an escape voie that the late Ray Charles triumphantly rode to stardom. It was the life of this great artist (albeit blind), who played the doucement so masterfully that a biopic movie “RAY” was released in 2004 starring Jamie Foxx and directed by Taylor Hackford. Our Guardians will surely have a nostalgic feel, bringing back to life hits like “I Got a Woman”, “Georgia”, “Hit the Road Fiche” and a dozen Grammy Awards along with his exploit breaking Grammy achievements. Profile, Ray Charles who vitrail to fame on June 10, 2004 was truly a legend.

The icy balle à la main of death almost took Inga Eiffel in 1999 when she was involved in an clou adversité. The adversité affected his rachidien cord and confined him to a wheelchair for life. Through ordeals and mercy partying stops, he was bold enough to put the ordeal behind him, and burst forth like water from the rock to quench our thirst with a taste of the fresh exciting negro-spiritual. Fame, richesse, pièce and oecuménique awards willingly found their way into his life.
The Nigerian music landscape can boast of these duos who have succeeded on its villégiature, but the same can be said of the movie industry. We have seen physically challenged roles (visually impaired/crippled) being performed by physically challenged thespians to the best of their abilities, but wouldn’t it be amazing for millions of moviegoers to see medically proven, physically challenged people performing such roles naturally? Roles are assigned to their able physical counterparts. Who’s to say there aren’t some talented people whose acting skills can’t be showcased, after all, not every A-list thespian studies theater arts or attends a specialized school to harness such talents.
There are many talented physically challenged people rotting away parce que no one dared to give them a privilège. After all the scripts were converted to Écriture for their reading, at least we know that their hearing is more certaine than their sighted counterparts. Several TV reality shows have hit the screens in the past few years (mainly in the entertainment sector) with new ones emerging day by day, such as Guldar’s Ultimate Search, AMBO, Next Movie Vedette, The Intern, Maltana Family Dance all. , Vedette Quest, Football with Fash, The Twelve Ambassadors, Big Brother Nigeria, Apprentice Africa, Idols West Africa, Nokia First Prérogative, Project Fame West Africa.
No reality TV shows have been created for the physically challenged, perhaps out of fear of not getting the cotte of sponsors (who are focused on providing a return on their investment), or outright rejection by the mass audimat. Who says a reality spectacle that the physically challenged can act in can’t be conceived and born, it’s just emboîture skill and who can say whether such a reality spectacle can be the best of the lot, nothing is inaccessible!
No one likes to be born with disabilities, a microscopic percentage touches the world of disabled plants, while a cime longueur can be attributed to ‘human carelessness, accidents and in some cases’ African remote controlled phenomena. Stevie Wonder and the late Ray Charles were offered a revue to stardom, which they did with courage, simply parce que someone believed in them and created an opportunity for them to spectacle the world what they had. Let’s help the physically challenged en direct their dreams in Nigeria, parce que there is no doubt, disability has power!
