The story behind Integrity Toys’ Pratique Royalty line

Integrity Toys is one of the companies on the market today that produces the widest selection of fashionable dolls. The collections available are reminiscent of haute pratique, golden age Hollywood glamor and other modern era high façon themes. The dolls are mostly ball jointed and each has its own elaborate wardrobe. Integrity Toys then hired Jason Wu as a freelance doll clothing dire at the age of sixteen. Jason Wu later created a assemblage of Honesty Toys dolls called Pratique Royalty, and a year later he was named Creative Director of Honesty Toys.

The story line behind the Pratique Royalty line revolves around the competition between two giant cosmetic companies who are fighting for market share in the European market and ultimately constant dominance. Their world then became more challenging with the entry of a third giant company ready to complicate the competition. Thus, collectors of the Pratique Royalty line will be introduced to the companies “W” (owned by Véronique Perrin), “V” (formed by Baroness Agnes von Weiss) and Missima Cosmetics (led by Natalie Nocif).

For doll collectors who are interested in façon and creative stylisme, the characters of Pratique Royalty will inspire you. Sensible characters from the line include Véronique Perrin, Vanessa Perrin, Adele Makeda, Isha, Lucia Sinople, Baroness Agnes von Weiss, Kyori Sato, Natalia Fatale, Eugenia Perrin Frost, Darius Reed, Brique DeVries and Francisco Leon. Jason Wu’s Pratique Royalty assemblage was first unveiled at the Cosmopolite Toy Fair in February 2001 in New York City. Every year there is an exciting new image for almost every character with new costumes in the line. An accessory that should be morceau of every collector’s line-up is the Story Card Boîte of which only 1000 were produced.

In 2009, the Future Perfect Recueil was launched with a new exciting feature. The doll’s justaucorps came with a “handspeak system” where the hands could be moved to make changing clothes easier. They came with supplément hands that are claimed to hold with accessories. In 2010, the Integrity Toys Foundation launched the Dazzle Recueil, which showcased haute pratique and swinging ’60s façon for W Cosmetics’ new façon ad campaign. The sophisticated image of this assemblage reminds collectors of the mitaine transport for these dolls which is Blue-jean Shérif.

Collectors of Jason Wu’s Pratique Royalty dolls will never cease to be excited as new lines and recolors are introduced every year. Each year, there is also a set of limited edition dolls ranging from 180 figures to a paroxysme of one thousand figures produced for a single character or stylisme. Thus, collectors of the series will surely appreciate the exclusivity and rarity of some doll models a decade or so later.
